As part of the Hurricanes, Jaylen Chatfield opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, but Alexander Barkov restored the tie in the second period and Matthew Tkachuk brought the Panthers victory in overtime.
Florida’s Russian goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky saved 37 shots on goal and was recognized as the game’s first star.
Florida took a 2-0 series lead. The teams will face off for the third time on May 22.
