National team Kazakhstan beat the Slovenians in the game of the 7th round of the Ice Hockey World Championship.
The Group B match took place at Arena Riga and ended with the score 4:3. The winners were Nikita Mikhailis, Batyrlan Muratov, Evgeny Rymarev and Maxim Mukhametov. The Slovenians scored goals from Jan Drozg and Anze Kuralt, who netted twice.
The Kazakhstan team scored 7 points and is on the 6th line, the Slovenians did not score points, having lost all seven games.
In the Group A game, the Austrians beat the Hungarians in a shootout – 4:3. The Hungarian national team took the last place in the group and left the first division of the World Championships.
