Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett singles out team goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky in the current NHL playoffs.
Bobrovsky was recognized as the first star in Game 3 of the National Hockey League Eastern Conference Playoff Final Series against the Carolinas (1-0). The goaltender stopped all 32 shots and scored the first shutout of his NHL playoff career. The Russian was recognized as the first star for the second game in a row.
“He was incredible throughout the playoffs. It is really impressive.
It gives our team a lot more confidence. It’s more fun to play when you have a goalkeeper who fights like that and will do whatever it takes,” Bennett told the team’s press office.
Florida leads the best-of-four series 3-0. The next game in the showdown is scheduled for May 25.
