On the eve of the Stanley Cup Finals series, watchers on the official NHL website have determined by voting the favorite for the Conn Smythe Trophy, an award given annually to the NHL’s most valuable playoff player.
The defender won the vote “Colorado” Cale Makar who got 6 votes. Second place was taken by striker teammate Makar Nathan McKinnon – four voices.
Closed the top three “Tampa” goalies Andrei Vasilevsky – three voices.
Lightning players Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman received one vote each.
Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals between Tampa Bay and Colorado is scheduled for June 16. Tampa has won the Stanley Cup the past two seasons.
