Olympic champion Valery Kamenski praised the game of the Russian goalkeeper “Florida Panthers” Sergei Bobrovsky in the current Stanley Cup.
Florida beat the Carolinas in the third round of the NHL playoffs with an aggregate score of 4-0 in the series. In the fourth game the Panthers won with the score 4:3, the decisive goal was scored by Matthew Tkachuk. Bobrovsky saved 36 of 39 shots. During the series, the Russian goalkeeper set a club record for the number of shots saved in the Stanley Cup game: in the first game, Bobrovsky saved 63 of 65 shots, surpassing the achievement of John Vanbiesbrook (55 saves in the game with the Colorado Avalanche in the 1996 NHL playoffs).
– Bobrovsky confirms the status of a high-class goalkeeper and helps the team win. There is still a step towards the Stanley Cup, towards the main dream of every hockey player. I want to wish him good luck.
Bobrovsky – the head of “Florida”? Tkachuk scores there too. The whole team wins. But Bobrovsky makes a huge contribution to the victory of “Florida”, – quotes the words of Kamensky “Championship”.
In the final series, Florida will play the winner of the showdown between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Dallas Stars. Vegas leads 3-0.
