The match, held in Riga, ended with the score 3:1 (1:0, 0:1, 2:0) in favor of the Latvians. Among the winners were goals scored by Dans Lochmelis (13th minute), Miks Indrashis (46) and Janis Jaks (54). The Swedes scored Timothy Liljegren (30).
In another quarter-final Canadian hockey players beaten in Finnish Tampere finnish national team with a score of 4:1 (1:0, 1:0, 2:1). Among the Canadians, Jack Quinn (8), Sammy Blais (31), Michael Carcone (43) and Tyler Toffoli (58) scored.
