“Bison Sabers” has signed 19-year-old Russian defender Vsevolod Komarov to a three-year rookie contract, the National Hockey League club’s press service reports.
A native of Chelyabinsk, he played the last two seasons for the Quebec Remparts team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (LHJMQ), with which he won the league this season.
Buffalo selected Komarov in the fifth round of the 2022 NHL Draft, 134th overall.
Earlier, Buffalo signed Russian defenseman Nikita Novikov and forward Viktor Neuchev to a three-year rookie contract.
