“To be clear, this preliminary schedule was established in 2018. Due to world events in Russia and Belarus it is currently prohibited to participate in tournaments under the auspices of the IIHF and to organize events on its territory. Therefore, at the moment it is unlikely that Russia will be allowed to host the Youth World Cup in 2032,” Miller wrote.
According to the plan published by Miller, the following countries were supposed to host the World Junior Championships until 2033:
- Sweden (2024)
- Canada (2025, 2027, 2030, 2033)
- United States (2026, 2031)
- Finland (2028)
- Czech Republic (2029)
