Teams of Lithuania, China, Estonia, the Netherlands and Spain will compete with the blue-yellows
The hosts of the World Ice Hockey Championships in several divisions have been determined.
Recall the national men’s national team of Ukraine next year will compete in division 1B. World Cup 2024 will be held in Vilnius from 27 April to 3 May. The rivals of the blue-yellows will be the national teams of Lithuania, China, Estonia, the Netherlands and Spain.
Youth national team of Ukraine (U-20) will play in the same division, the world championship will be held in Slovenia. The teams of Slovenia, Italy, Poland, Estonia and Croatia will become the rivals of the Ukrainians. Tournament women’s team (Division 3A) will be held in Croatia. Ukrainians will meet with the teams of Croatia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
Earlier it was reported that Germany will host the Ice Hockey World Championship in the elite division in 2027. The event will take place in two of the four cities: Cologne, Dusseldorf, Mannheim and Munich.
At the last World Cup 2023 in division 1B, Ukraine took second place with ten points. The promotion was taken by Japan, who got five victories in five rounds.
