Hockey agent Shumi Babaev, representing the interests of the striker S.K.A. Damira Zhafyarova said that there is no question of the player leaving the St. Petersburg club.
– Zhafyarov has a valid contract with SKA, there was no talk of leaving the club. From SKA there has been no movement in this direction, and we are not talking with other clubs about the transfer of Damir. But if SKA decides that Zhafyarov has no place in the team, then there will be some kind of movement. Now there is no such thing,” Babaev told Sport24.
Zhafyarov’s contract with SKA runs until 2024.
In the 2022/23 season, Zhafyarov scored 63 KHL regular season games and 44 (16+28) points with an utility indicator of +15. In the playoffs, he has 12 games and 9 (1+8) points with a utility indicator of +2.
