Rotenberg has been leading SKA since 2022. His son Roman studies at SKA Academy and is the captain of the children’s team. The St. Petersburg club academy and the “Red Machine Junior” school have common training standards developed by FHR coaches and specialists. This is a project of the federation and the ideological inspiration of the national hockey player training program “Red Machine” Roman Rotenberg.
Of course, we always want the best for our children. The Roma team, like all teams in the SKA academy, have excellent coaches in whom I have complete confidence. All are FHR certified. I constantly monitor my son’s progress, somewhere I suggest and give advice to do better in a given situation.
Now, the SKA Academy has the best specialists in the country in all fields. We brought together coaches with the same passion for their work, invited Gennady Gennadievich Kurdin so that he could pass on his experience to the children. Parents, which is very important, want their children to study at SKA Academy with such mentors.

Moreover, we create all the conditions – the guys not only train day and night, they have enough time to study. It is important that not only robots come out of our schools, which have seen nothing in life but a stick and a puck, but harmoniously developed personalities. And I see how my son and the other guys are progressing: I follow training, I go to games as soon as possible. And every year it only becomes more interesting for them, and I myself am delighted to go on the ice with those who will soon loudly declare themselves.
