Russian defender Ivan Provorov was traded to the club NHL Columbus Blue Jackets according to journalist David Pagnotta on Twitter.

Provorov moved from Philadelphia to Columbus in a three-way deal that also involved Los Angeles. The Blue Jackets secured the rights to the 26-year-old Russian, the Flyers released Sean Walker and goaltender Calvin Petersen from the Kings, and Los Angeles will withhold 30% of Provorov’s salary.

Provorov’s contract, with an average salary of $6.75 million, runs until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Provorov was selected by Philadelphia in the 2015 draft with the seventh overall pick. Since then, he has played 532 games with the team in the NHL regular season, scored 217 points (65 + 152). In the playoffs, the defender scored three goals and provided eight assists in 22 games.
