Omsk’s new ice palace will be called “G-Drive Arena”

Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Neft Alexander Dyukov, Head of the Board of OmskAvant-garde Alexander Krylov and the governor of the Omsk region Alexander Burkov presented the name of the new ice arena, which will be opened in Omsk in 2022, on Thursday within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The sports complex, the commissioning of which is scheduled for September this year, received the official name “G-Drive Arena”. The ice complex will become the arena of the Avangard hockey club.

The construction of a new ice rink in Omsk is carried out within the framework of a public-private partnership between Gazprom Neft, the government of the Russian Federation and the government of the Omsk region. The parity construction project is financed by Gazprom Neft and the federal budget. The technical readiness of the arena is currently at 80%.

The XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum takes place from June 15 to 18. Gazprom-Media Holding is the general media partner of SPIEF-2022.
