Golden Knights stay ahead in the final series
Florida snatched victory from Vegas in the third match of the final series Davis Cup – 3:2.
The hosts quickly opened the scoring, defender Brendon Montour scored. However, the Golden Knights managed to take the lead with two power-plays in the first and second periods, with goals and passes scored by Mark Stone and Jonathan Marchesseau.
Florida managed to bounce back at the end of regular time thanks to striker Matthew Tkachuk. And in overtime, the Panthers pulled out a victory, the decisive goal was scored by forward Carter Verheige.
Florida closed the gap in the series, the Golden Knights remain ahead – 2:1. The fourth match of the final confrontation will take place again at the home arena of the Panthers on the night of June 11th.
