Earlier this was reported by . For the past two seasons, Galimov has played for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. Last season, the 32-year-old forward played in 67 KHL regular season games, scored 27 points (13 goals + 14 assists), adding 2 points (2+0) in six playoff games.
In the 2019/20 season, Galimov has already played for Spartak, played 37 games and scored 12 points (8+4). In total, Galimov scored 171 points (86+85) in 532 KHL games for Neftekhimik, Metallurg Novokuznetsk, Dynamo Moscow, Avangard Omsk, Severstal and Sochi.
The Red-Whites finished ninth in the Western Conference last season in the KHL regular season and did not qualify for the playoffs.
