“He does what great goalkeepers do. In the same way that coaches try to understand an opponent, goalkeepers do the same. I think that’s how an elite goaltender improves his game as the series progresses because he learns the same way coaches try to teach a team,” Cooper said.
The Tampa Bay Lightning lost to the Colorado Avalanche in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The second game of the confrontation is scheduled for June 19.
