Russia’s Washington system defender Alekseev will miss five months after surgery

Russian defender “Washington” Alexander Alekseev underwent surgery on his left shoulder, according to the team’s press office.

The 22-year-old hockey player’s recovery will take 4-5 months.

In the 2021/22 season, Alekseev played one game for the main team without scoring. He also has 68 AHL regular season games for Hershey Farm Club, in which he scored 19 (1+18) points, and three playoff games (one assist).
