According to , the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has not registered and will not register in the near future the contract which was signed between CSKA and goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov .
Earlier it became known that Fedotov, who had completed his military service, signed a two-year contract with the Moscow club and flew to Dubai on vacation. On July 1, the contract was sent for registration at the KHL CIB.
In the past two days, the KHL has not registered a contract and will not do so in the near future, as the league currently does not understand Fedotov’s status with the NHL club”Philadelphia Flyers “. There is no document on the cooperation between the Russian and North American leagues, however, behind the scenes, the NHL and the KHL respect the contracts of the clubs. Until the NHL provides an official response to Fedotov, the KHL will not register the hockey player’s contract.
Last summer, the 26-year-old goalkeeper was drafted into the Russian Armed Forces for military service. In mid-June, Philadelphia announced that the hockey player’s contract, signed a year earlier, had been extended for the 2023/24 season.
