Defender Bogdan Konyushkov signed a new contract with Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” according to the hockey club’s website.
The 20-year-old’s bilateral deal is designed for three years.
— We are very happy that Bogdan is staying with us and will continue to grow with the team. He is one of the key players in the team, which is being built with an eye on the new stadium.
Separately, it should be noted that the rapid progress of Bogdan has recently been noted in the NHL, where the player was selected in the draft. This confirms the correctness of the course we have chosen and highly appreciates the work of the entire system of our club,” said Maxim Gafurov, General Director of Torpedo.
In the 2022/23 season, Konyushkov scored 30 points (2 goals and 28 assists) in 74 regular season and KHL playoff games. The Montreal Canadiens selected the Russian 110th overall in the 2023 NHL Draft.
