On June 30, the Chelyabinsk club announced the signing of a contract with Zharkov until the end of the 2024/25 season.

– If we talk about Traktor, what is the current situation with goalkeeper Sergei Mylnikov? Do you plan to loan him to another club?
– We said we would consider a loan if there is a goalkeeper on the market that Traktor is interested in. Today it is understood that Sergei will start the season at the base of the team and will play in tandem with a foreign goalkeeper, whom the club has signed.
In the 2022/23 season, 35-year-old Zharkov scored 54 games in the Fonbet KHL regular season and 10 (3+7) points with a utility indicator of “0”. In the playoffs, the striker played 14 matches and scored 2 (0+2) points with a utility indicator of “-1”.
