Athletistic/Hockey. Connor Bedard, Chicago Blackhawks forward and first overall pick in the 2023 National Hockey League draft, has shared his thoughts on Russian forward Matvey Michkov, selected by the Philadelphia Flyers.
Bedard noted that Michkov is a dynamic player with the ability to score goals and lead the game. He also noted that Michkov’s accomplishments last year in the KHL were special, he set records for his age class. Bedard praises Michkov’s variety of skills that make him an excellent player and considers the team that picked him very lucky. He also added that Michkov’s talent is amazing.
Matvey Michkov started the season at SKA, then was loaned to Sochi. The Russian striker was selected by Philadelphia in the first round of the draft under the number seven.
