Russian goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov thanked everyone for their support and noted that “the difficulties are not over yet”.
Fedotov signed a contract with CSKA last week, but on Monday learned the KHL would not register its deal due to the goaltender’s murky status in the NHL.
Thank you all for your good wishes and support. It was not easy… but the difficulties are not over yet, so “patience and hard work will make it all right,” Fedotov wrote on his Telegram channel.
In the summer of 2022, Fedotov was drafted into the RF Armed Forces for military service. In mid-June “Philadelphia Cream” announced that the hockey player’s contract, signed a year earlier, has been extended for the 2023/24 season.
On Monday, National Hockey League (NHL) Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly told that Fedotov has a “valid and enforceable contract” with Philadelphia for next season.
