Hockey Canada appoints Katherine Henderson as president informed organization’s press office.
For the past seven years, she served as President of the Curling Federation of Canada. Previously, Henderson, 60, was senior vice president of marketing and revenue for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games organizing committee.
Former Hockey Canada management was forced to resign. In October 2022, the head of the Canadian Ice Hockey Federation, Scott Smith, resigned amid a sexual assault scandal. All of the organization’s board members have also resigned. For this reason, Hockey Canada has created an Interim Steering Committee.
