Down-the-line.com/Hockey. The Ice Hockey Federation of Canada has announced the appointment of Katherine Henderson as CEO and President of the organization. She will replace retired Scott Smith, who left his post last October.

Henderson spent seven years leading the Curling Association of Canada as CEO. She will begin her role with Ice Hockey Canada on September 4.

Canadian Ice Hockey Federation president Hugh Fraser said Henderson has the impressive experience and credentials to lead the organization through its transformation. He also expressed confidence that under his leadership, the Federation will continue to take the necessary steps to ensure the safety and inclusiveness of hockey as a sport.
