Offensive “Dallas” Yevgeny Dadonov told Sport24 that in the new season he will fully recover from his injury.
Dadonov was injured and had to leave the ice in the first period of Game 3 of the NHL playoff semifinals with Vegas Golden Knights .
– How is your health after the injury you suffered in the series with Vegas?
– I’m recovering.
– What kind of injury?
– Knee ligament. Nothing serious, but needs time to recover. It is necessary to do special exercises to restore the ligaments of the knee. I will be fully prepared for the new season. It probably doesn’t make sense to talk about it, but if we reached the final, I was hoping to play there. Now I just don’t have a deadline, I can calmly let my knee recover in order to properly bring the ligament to my pre-season work. I think in three or four weeks I will be able to fully train.
– Was there any chance you could get back into programming the show with Vegas?
– With “Vegas”, that was definitely not the case. If it was possible to get out of it, it would be the fourth or fifth game of the final.
When did you get injured?
– We had the majority, Roppe Hinz and I went towards the puck, he fell, rolled by inertia and hit me. The blow wasn’t particularly strong, but I immediately felt something was wrong. On the adrenaline, the pain was not felt so much, I had hopes of getting back into the game. But the doctor looked and immediately said to forget about it.
Dadonov moved to Dallas last season from the Montreal Canadiens.
In 73 regular season games in the NHL, Dadonov scored 33 (7+36) points. In 23 playoff games, the player has 15 (3+12) points.
