HC top scorer “Torpedo” last season Nikolai Kovalenko told Metaratings.ru that healing from a concussion depends on self-discipline.
– You had a terrible injury – a concussion after a collision with Andrei Pedan. How would you describe the psychological recovery process after that?
– All the thoughts you need to heal her, slowly. It’s more self-discipline, self-control over your body and your body. When a minor injury and an absence of a few weeks, it’s easier. And in this case, it was hard to be lying at home, staring at the ceiling. After all, you don’t know how to read, or television, or the telephone. It was only possible to walk after three weeks, and then it didn’t work for a long time, because my head was spinning,” Kovalenko said.
Last season, 23-year-old Kovalenko played 56 games with Torpedo in the regular season, scoring 54 (21+33) points. In the playoffs, he played 10 games and scored 7 (3+4) points.
