The top fifteen positions included two Russian players. Ivan Demidov, a striker from the SKA system, took third place, and Igor Chernyshov, a striker from the Dynamo Moscow team, was in 11th place.
The article indicates that the Montreal Canadiens could choose Demidov and the Washington Capitals could choose Chernyshov.
“Demidov was one of the best players in the Russian Youth League last season, if not the best. He has great puck speed and shows real elite skill combined with great hockey intelligence. He has a excellent puck control and good physical shape, although his physical parameters are not the most impressive. Demidov is a determined player and there is every reason to believe that he will be an excellent winger.”
“Chernyshov had a very productive season in Russia and also played several KHL games for Dynamo. He’s a tall, strong winger with good skating skills and puck control. Although I don’t consider him not as an exceptional creator, I’m sure he has hockey talent,” the article said.
McClean Celebrini, a forward from Boston University, is in first place in the standings and Cole Eiserman, a forward from the U18 USA team, is in second place.
