Russian defender “Carolina Hurricanes” Dmitry Orlov said he would be happy to see Tarasenko teammate, but Vladimir must make the best decision for his family.
– I do not attract Vladimir Tarasenko to Carolina, although I would be happy to see him. Yes, he is still a free agent. Yes we are friends. But he has a family, three children. He has to calculate everything, how it will be better for the family. He will make a balanced decision and go to the team that will fight for the Stanley Cup, – the correspondent reports Orlov’s words.
Tarasenko, 31, who spent the second half of last season with the New York Rangers, is an unrestricted free agent.
The forward was traded to Rangers in February from St. Louis. Tarasenko scored 21 points (8+13) in 31 NHL regular season games for the Rangers, and in seven playoff games the Russian scored another 4 points (3+1) for his performance.
