The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has announced that it has registered a signed contract between the goaltender Ivan Fedotov and Moscow CSKA based on information and documents received from the National Hockey League (NHL).
On Saturday, reported that the KHL had registered Fedotov’s contract with CSKA.
– The KHL, following established practice and adhering to established principles, has asked the NHL to confirm the contract status of Ivan Fedotov.
Based on the information and documents received from the NHL, the league and the club assume that Ivan Fedotov does not have a current contract signed with the NHL club for the 2023/2024 season in the sense that was provided for in the memorandum of understanding.
Based on this, and also considering the player’s personal desire to play for CSKA in the KHL, the league recognizes Ivan Fedotov’s contract with CSKA for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons as legitimate.
Earlier it became known that Fedotov, who had completed his military service, signed a two-year contract with the Moscow club and flew to Dubai on vacation. On July 1, the contract was sent for registration at the KHL CIB.
Last summer, the 26-year-old goalkeeper was drafted into the Russian Armed Forces for military service. In mid-June”philadelphia cream announced that the hockey player’s contract, signed a year earlier, has been extended for the 2023/24 season.
