Boris Mikhailov, a member of the CSKA Supervisory Board, expressed his opinion on the statement of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (FHR) on the situation of goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov. In a statement, the FHR said the decision on the Russian goalkeeper’s performance in the KHL would only be made after consultation with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
“I’m not surprised that the FHR has turned to the IIHF for advice. It’s a natural process, everything is going according to plan. I believe President Esmantovich is aware of the matter and will take care of these matters. would create problems. They believe they are right, we believe we are right. Igor Vyacheslavovich proved that we are on the right track. Everything will be fine,” Mikhailov said in an interview with Sport Express.
Recall that on July 3, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said that Fedotov had contractual obligations with the Philadelphia Flyers for the 2023/2024 season. Five days later, on July 8, CSKA announces the signing of an agreement with the goalkeeper. Today, July 10, the FHR released a statement that the decision on the goaltender’s possible participation in the KHL Championship will be made after consultation with the IIHF.
