“Neftekhimik” announced the transfer to the club of the winner of the Gagarin Cup‑2021 Nailya Yakupova.
The agreement with the 29-year-old hockey player is designed for one year. Yakupov played for Avangard last season.
– I played for my native Neftekhimik in the 2012/13 season, when there was a lockout in the NHL. Then there was a great team, a great atmosphere. There are warm memories. I know there is an ambitious young team here. Followed his playoff game. There was a very interesting series with Ak Bars.
I had offers from different clubs, including Neftekhimik. I made my choice in favor of my club and my home town. Here I grew up, I learned to play hockey. I thought it was time to go home. I think this is the best solution! said Yakupov.
The striker played 253 games in the KHL and scored 138 points (70+68).
