According to , the negotiations on the transfer of the defender S.K.A. Igor Ozhiganov Dynamo Moscow is currently at an impasse, as the clubs have too different views on the transfer of a hockey player.
Last season, Ozhiganov scored 37 (11+26) points in 62 regular season games, adding 7 (2+5) points in 15 playoff games. The 30-year-old defender’s current contract with SKA runs until 2026.
After a large-scale summer purchase of SKA, it is necessary to get rid of a number of expensive hockey players in order to reduce the payroll and fall below the KHL salary cap. Ozhiganov, one of the highest paid players in the team, is the main candidate for the exit. Dynamo know this, so they are ready to take the defender for a symbolic thousand rubles, as was the case with the transfers of Vadim Shipachev and Vyacheslav Voinov to Ak Bars.
However, SKA refused to do so, the club from St. Petersburg wants to receive substantial compensation for one of its main defenders. At the same time, SKA cannot exchange Ozhiganov elsewhere, because the hockey player has signed a standard ban on exchanges with another club – a clause which, according to the regulations, comes into force after 29 years. In this regard, negotiations have been frozen – both clubs are studying the situation in the market.
