Athletistic/Hockey. According to information published on the ESPN site, the selection of Matvey Michkov by the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL Draft was the team’s best decision this offseason.
“Apart from appointing a new general manager, Daniel Brier, picking Matvey Michkov with the seventh NHL draft pick is the best decision Philadelphia has made. Is it a divisive decision? Of course. However, like Brier l said in the draft, Philadelphia has time to be patient and give Michkov the opportunity to grow in the Kontinental Hockey League.
Last season, Matvey Michkov was loaned from SKA to Sochi and scored 20 (9+11) points in 27 games for the southerners. Michkov still has three years of contract with the KHL military team.
