“Capitals of Washington” on the rinks of the capital of the United States, marks were placed in honor of the Russian hockey player Alexandra Ovechkina according to the press service of the NHL club.
The Capitals tagged Ovechkin’s office in left faceoff circles in Washington arenas to help young players practice shooting like the 37-year-old Russian.
Ovechkin is the owner of the Stanley Cup, three-time world champion in the Russian team. The striker at the end of last year came in second place in the list of the best marksmen in the NHL. The Russian, who has 822 goals, is second behind Canadian Wayne Gretzky (894).
