Previously, the attacker was arrested for an accident on private property and for fleeing the scene. Galchenyuk was also charged with hooliganism, insubordination, resisting arrest, threats and intimidation. According to court protocol, earlier this week, Galchenyuk was charged.
The day before, it was learned that the Arizona Coyotes had brought up Galchenyuk’s refusals for the draft in order to terminate the contract. The Coyotes signed the forward July 1 to a one-year contract worth $775,000.
Galchenyuk was selected by Montreal with the third overall pick in the 2012 draft, after which he played for the Canadiens for six seasons. Subsequently, he also played for Arizona, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Ottawa, Toronto and Colorado. In total, the American played 654 games in the NHL, scored 354 points (146 + 208).
