Athletistic/Tennis. On his Twitter page, Swedish Sportbladet journalist Jonathan Ekeliv expressed his opinion on Russian forward Matvey Michkov, who was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2023 NHL Draft.

“Yes, Michkov is the closest to Bedard in terms of talent. He’s an incredibly promising player! Maybe a little moody, but he also talked about Kucherov…and everything went well,” said the message.

Last Kontinental Hockey League season, Michkov moved from SKA to Sochi on loan and scored 20 (9+11) points in 27 games for his new team. In 2021 he also won the Glinka / Gretzky Cup as part of the Russian junior team.

In the previous NHL regular season season, Philadelphia finished 14th in the Eastern Conference standings with 75 points in 82 games.
