ESPN has compiled a list of the best NHL free agents that are currently on the market.
Russian is on the list Vladimir Tarasenko Martin Jones, Pius Zuter, Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, David Krejci, Josh Bailey, Oscar Sundqvist, Ethan Beer, Matt Damba, Tomasz Tatar, Jaroslav Galak, Patrice Bergeron and Alex Stalock.
Earlier, Ottawa Senators general Pierre Dorion said he spoke with representatives of forward Vladimir Tarasenko.
Tarasenko, 31, spent the second half of last season with the New York Rangers, where he ended up on a trade from St. Louis. The average salary for his last contract was $7.5 million per year.
