Olympic hockey champion Nikita Gusev signed a contract with “Dynamo” according to the Moscow club’s website.
The deal with the 31-year-old striker is for one season and is one-sided. reported in May that Gusev could continue his career at Dynamo.
Gusev is an Olympic champion, silver medalist of the Games, double bronze medalist of the World Championships in the Russian team. Previously, the forward played for CSKA Moscow, Amur Khabarovsk, Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, SKA, as well as NHL clubs New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers. Together with the St. Petersburg team, he became the owner of the Gagarin Cup.
Last season Gusev played 37 games for SKA in the regular season, scored 49 points (23 goals and 26 assists), in the playoffs the hockey player scored 12 points (5+7) in 13 games. In total, the striker played 555 games in the KHL and scored 512 points (192 + 320).
The new KHL season kicks off on September 1 with a game between CSKA and Ak Bars Kazan.
