Athletistic/Hockey. International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) President Luc Tardif has announced the expected official statement regarding the contract situation of CSKA goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov.
“The IIHF will make an official statement regarding Fedotov’s contract situation with CSKA. When will that happen? I think it will take us at least a week,” RIA Novosti Sport quote Tardif.
It is worth noting that the Russian Hockey Federation has already stated that it will make a decision on whether Fedotov will participate in the KHL championship only after consultation with the IIHF.
In June, it became known that the goalkeeper’s contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, signed before the 2022/2023 season, was automatically extended for one year. On July 3, National Hockey League (NHL) Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly confirmed this information. However, five days later, on July 8, CSKA announced the signing of a contract with Fedotov.
