Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitri Chernychenko said hockey does not use fan cards to attend games due to the “lack of historical facts about hooligan behavior”.
“They did not introduce hockey, because there is a completely different culture of participation in matches and the absence of historical facts about the behavior of hooligans,” Chernyshenko quotes Life.ru.
The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed that there are no plans to cancel the fan card in football, since this measure has shown its effectiveness – there are practically no incidents.
From the second part of the 2022/23 season, the fan card became mandatory in all stadiums of MIR teams of the Russian Premier League.
