Moscow Sports DirectorDynamo » Alexei Sopin said that with hockey players like Nikita Gusev It makes no sense to enter into long-term contracts.
On Tuesday, Dynamo announced the signing of a one-year contract with Gusev.
— I think that’s the best option. Nikita will see how everything goes for him at Dynamo. And we will see from the club side how everything will look and work. With such hockey players, it no longer makes sense to enter into long-term contracts. If everything suits everyone, then perhaps already during the season or closer to its end it will be possible to extend the agreement, – Sopin is quoted by the Championship.
Gusev is an Olympic champion, silver medalist of the Games, double bronze medalist of the World Championships, winner of the Gagarin Cup. Last season, the 31-year-old striker played for SKA Saint Petersburg.
The new KHL season kicks off on September 1 with a match between CSKA Moscow and Ak Bars Kazan.
