The meeting ended with the visit of a special guest, René Fasel, head of the Continental Hockey League’s arbitration commission.
“Our guest told how he became a referee, how he came to head the International Ice Hockey Federation. He noted that he has always tried to maintain a positive experience in refereeing and ironed out the negative in relation to referees, because he fully understands the responsibility, this somewhat thankless and difficult job,” said Anatoly Zakharov, head of the JHL refereeing department.
Now the Russian national hockey team has been suspended from international tournaments.
