SKA Saint Petersburg head coach Roman Rotenberg thanked the club’s board for their trust, noting that years of hard work await the team.
On Friday, SKA announced the conclusion of a new contract with a 42-year-old specialist for a period of five years.
— I would like to thank the Board of Directors for their trust and their decision to renew my contract for 5 years. Our common goal is the implementation of a long-term club strategy, the main tasks of which are leadership both in terms of sporting results and in terms of business, as well as the effective development of youth hockey and the SKA Academy. We keep moving forward!
I consider such a credit of trust as a solid foundation on which we will build a powerful and modern team of winners. We continue to focus on bold hockey, combining power, speed, goal setting with clever combinational play that will always delight fans.
We have years of serious and meticulous work ahead of us, a lot of work. On this path, the main thing is to always remember that we are all – from the club leaders to the juniors who have just joined the team – one team, one SKA family. Let’s work together and move forward! — Rotenberg wrote in the Telegram channel .
Rotenberg took charge of SKA in January 2022. Last season, under his leadership, the St. Petersburg team was beaten by CSKA in the Western Conference final – 2-4.
