Former Russian national hockey team striker Evgeny Artyukhin believes that signing a long-term contract with the head coach Romain Rotenberg will bring a lot of benefits to SKA.
On Friday, SKA signed a new five-year deal with Rotenberg. At the same time, the specialist left the position of general manager of the club.
– Every coach dreams of such a trusted credit. Roman Rotenberg had the opportunity to calmly build a team that can consistently achieve high results. You can work hard, experiment, bring young people into the team.
I think he deserved such a contract with all his work in hockey, especially at SKA. For many years Rotenberg in various positions was involved in the sporting part of club life. In the first full season as head coach, he won the Continental Cup. It is a serious indicator. A five-year contract will allow Rotenberg to achieve maximum success at the playoff stage, – quotes the words of Artyukhin “Championship”.
Rotenberg officially became the head coach of SKA in January 2022. Under his leadership, the St. Petersburg team reached the Gagarin Cup Western Conference finals twice, where they lost both times to CSKA.
