Shesterkin became the owner of the Vezina Trophy

Ranger Guardian Igor Shesterkin won the Vezina Trophy. This award is given annually to the National Hockey League goaltender who has played at least 25 regular season games and shown the best game among all competitors.

Shesterkin scored 154 points in the poll. He is followed by Jacob Markstrom (Calgary, 53 points) and Juuse Sarosa (Nashville, 32 points).

In the NHL regular season this season, Shesterkin played 53 games, including six with a clean sheet.

The Rangers lost in the Stanley Cup semifinals to Tampa. Shesterkin conceded 51 goals in 20 playoff games.

Previously, Sergey Bobrovsky (twice) and Andrey Vasilevsky became the owners of the Vezina Trophy among Russian goalkeepers.
