The meeting was held in Minsk and ended with the score 6:3 (3:0, 1:2, 2:1) in favor of the hosts.
Among the winners, Vadim Moroz scored twice, and Alexander Volkov, Roman Gorbunov, Sergey Kuznetsov and Timofey Kovgorenya also scored on the puck. Mikhail Grass, Danil Gololobov and Arkhip Nekolenko scored for Magnitogorsk.
The new KHL season begins on September 1. Metallurg will face Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg on September 2 in the away opener, on the same day Dynamo will face Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk on the road.
