According to , Dynamo Moscow will announce the signing of Canadian forward Eric O’Dell on Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, reported that defender Brennan Menell had received Russian sports citizenship and lost his KHL Legionnaire status. Thus, Dynamo received an additional place for the Legionnaire in the team. Earlier, the Moscow club’s sporting director Alexei Sopin talked about the possibility of reaching an agreement with O’Dell.
Until the evening, Dynamo will officially announce the signing of O’Dell. The hockey player is already available to the team and will have his first full-fledged training session with Dynamo in the evening.
O’Dell played for the Blues the past two seasons, played 95 games for the team in the regular season and KHL playoffs, scored 78 points (36 goals and 42 assists). In May, the 33-year-old Canadian became an unrestricted free agent.
O’Dell is an Olympic bronze medalist and a silver medalist at the World Championships with Team Canada. The striker also played in the KHL for Sochi, Magnitogorsk Metallurg and Novosibirsk Sibir.
