On the federal hospital territory of Sirius, the matches of the prestigious Liga Stavok Sochi Hockey Open-2023 pre-season tournament have ended. The tournament, which brought together four clubs from the Continental Hockey League and the Russian national team, took place in August for the eighth time and, by tradition, proved to be very spectacular and emotional.
The main trophy was won first by the “Admiral” of Vladivostok, who won three in four matches of the tournament. Primorye constantly dominated the SKA, the Russian national team and Sochi, and the day before the end of the tournament they got the first place. Failure came to the Admiral only in the fourth meeting, when the team led by coach Leonid Tambiev lost to Avangard with a difference of three goals – 2:5. The second place in the tournament was taken by the Avangard team, the third place was taken by the hosts of the Sochi Hockey Open-2023 Stavok League, Sochi Hockey Players, who have two wins over the Avangard and the Russian team.
After the tournament ended, a colorful awards ceremony took place on the ice of the Shaiby Arena. The president of the “Liga Stavok” of British Columbia Yuri Krasovsky and a well-known sports commentator, ambassador of the “Liga Stavok” Viktor Gusev attended. The main prize of the tournament from the hands of the honored guests was received by the captain of “Admiral” Denis Golubev.

Its launch is fast approaching – on September 1, the Kontinental Hockey League will begin its 16th season.
