42-year-old Zaripov’s farewell match between the “green” and “white” teams took place in Kazan on Wednesday and ended with the victory of hockey players in white jerseys with a score of 12-9 in regular time. The match was followed by a shootout. Zaripov played one period for each team and scored a hat-trick.
Alexey Morozov, Zinetula Bilyaletdinov, Alexander Ovechkin, Alexander Radulov, Pavel Datsyuk, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Alexander Semin, Artem Lukoyanov, Ilya Vorobyov and other well-known players, coaches and specialists took part in the match.
Zaripov is a five-time Gagarin Cup winner with Ak Bars and three-time world champion Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
