Will I move to the Ak Bars if I leave the NHL? Let’s see how life will show,” Ovechkin told SE.
Ovechkin is the second leading scorer in NHL history. The striker has scored 822 league goals. Only Wayne Gretzky (894) is ahead of him.
The 37-year-old Ovechkin’s contract with the Washington Capitals expires at the end of the 2025/26 season.
